Do you like to paint?
Do your like to try new colors or textures?
Do you like glitter and shiny colors?
From a very young age I loved to paint. My mom always encouraged me to sit with her at the table and draw and paint flowers. She was a very good painter and taught me a lot. I still remember a painting I did with her on a rainy afternoon. It had a sprig of orange flowers that looked like little bells.
I did continue to paint on and off, but I also liked other crafts, so painting was limited to watercolors and drawing to pencil and charcoal. I also did enjoy silk painting very much and made lots of ties, scarfs and pillowcases.
In recent years I started to add colored pencils, watercolor pencils and oil pastels to my art supplies.
A couple years ago I discovered Arteza. I needed some mica powders and glitter and Arteza had an incredible set of both. I was so impressed by their glitter set and beautiful mica powders that I started to look into other products.

At the time I was working on a butterfly that I wanted to transfer on canvas and then paint in vibrant colors. I had the Lumiere by Jacquard Exciter Pack 9 Jewel Colors, but I knew I had not enough paint. So, I looked through the Arteza website and came across their Craft Acrylic Paint, Iridescent, 2oz Bottles – Set of 10.
I was enchanted by their iridescent colors. There were beautiful shades of yellow, red and blue that all reflect the light and change colors. Just perfect for my butterfly.
I bought the set on Amazon for $29.00 and the price right now is $32.99, but you can get it on the Arteza website for $30.00 and they very often have special deals.

Now let’s get a little bit more into the Arteza Acrylic Iridescent Paint set.
There are 10 bottles in the package that are 2oz each. In my opinion they are quite large and are made so you can squeeze the paint out of the bottle easily. There is a snap on cap that keeps your paint from leaking and also drying out, which is very important to me, as I only take out small amounts and sometimes, I cannot work for weeks on my painting.
The acrylic paint has a high viscosity, so you can create texture and layers. What I love about those paints is, you can use it on all kinds of materials besides canvas. I painted a leather bracelet I made, and I painted plaster and stone as well as a large wooden tray. The nice and thick paint covers all those surfaces even and beautiful.
I like that they can be used by children, as they are non-toxic, and water based.
Colors can be used straight out of the bottle, or you can blend them and create different colors and shades. You can also thin them a little bit to create a lighter texture, but I prefer the beautiful thick texture, as the colors are more vibrant that way.
Now, let’s get to the color palette:

First, we have a beautiful green called Shocking Lime Green – and yes, it is a glowing green. Beautiful shades of yellow, green, lime and a little of avocado green, depending on the light that hits the color.

Next, we have a bright yellow called Dreamy Lemon Yellow – and it does remind me of a big ripe lemon.

Then we have an orange color called Shady Orange – it is a little bit muted but vibrant, nonetheless.

The red is called Fiery Red – it is a rather light red and not deep dark.

Then we have a peach color called Glowing Peach – it is kind of a purple peach color reminding me of an almost ripe peach but more intense color.

Next is a blue called Fairy Tale Blue – it is a very deep blue color, and it has a little bit of purple and grey.

The purple color is called Royal Purple – that one is a blue purple color that is closer to a blue.

There is another purple that is called Electric Plum Purple – that purple is really dark and beautiful.

Then we have a pink that is called Playful Pink – that color is more a cross of a white, cream and very light blue and a minute amount of pink. This color could be used as light blue also.

And last, we have a black that is called Fancy Black – it is a dark black with slight dark brown shine, depending on the light.
These are lots of beautiful colors that turn into even more colors when the light hits them. So, if you want to make something really special that is colorful and glows in different shades this Arteza Craft Acrylic Paint, Iridescent, 2oz Bottles – Set of 10 is perfect for you. I love them and will definitely reorder when I run out.
