Welcome to The Trusty Reviewer Blog.
Sometimes things just come to my mind, and they are not really reviews, but still have some value for the reader and someone looking to buy a product.
This blog will be the right platform for that with many articles written by us. I am always on the lookout to buy better products, or products that are environmentally friendly, or work a certain way. So, I will take you along this journey with me.
Let me give you an example. Did you ever do or have someone do remodeling in your house or apartment. If so, you know how much dirt there is left when the workers are gone. We had floors and bathroom tiles done and our workers did not clean the grout from the tiles. Now I have grout haze on the wall tiles, spots of grout on the new floor, silicone spots on the new floor from sealing the baseboards and so on. It looks terrible and the longer it sits, well it is impossible to clean. So, now I am looking for a cleaner that will clean that mess but is also not poisonous for my cat that runs and lies on the floor. I am still in the process of looking and I will be updating you all if I find a good cleaner that will do the job.
In the meantime, let’s get started with a blog post that might interest you.
You will find our current posts here on this page. But should you look for something specific and you cannot find it here, please use the search button on the right side of every page.

Let’s talk about Batteries – well, who does not use batteries. But beware, not all batteries are made equal – I know this sounds scary, but if it turns out that a battery is a health hazard, yes it should be scary.

Is there a duck repellant that really works? – being overrun by ducks here that we cannot have removed I have found a few things that work somewhat for us here in South Florida. But there are many more I talk about that could work for others.

Packaging – A Societies Nightmare – every day we are buried in a mountain of plastic. Grocery stores have meat, cheese, produce, etc wrapped in plastic. Online orders ship either in a plastic shipping bag, or the box is stuffed with plastic bubble wrap or air-filled plastic pockets. Is there a way to reduce plastic? Are New And Improved Products Better? – We all have noticed that products are getting smaller, the price is going up, they are not as good as they used to be, etc. “Shrinkflation” is something everyone has noticed and then you have improved formulas that makes you question why the companies have changed a perfectly good product. Read my post here Are New And Improved Products Better?

Do you use a garbage disposal? I think most of us do. For me, it is vital, as I have 6 cats and I wash my cat dishes by hand, so there is always a little bit of leftover food. Also, I love to cook, and vegetables are a staple in my kitchen. Without a garbage disposal I would be running to the dumpster 5x per day. I came across a weird article that warned of 10 things you should never put into your garbage disposal, mainly F O O D? Read my post here The Garbage Disposal Debate

After 22 years my trusted Swiffer Sweeper finally broke. The plastic piece on the bottom part cracked and the handle did not stay in anymore. I absolutely love my Swiffer Sweeper, like all the Swiffer products, so my husband went out to get a new one. Now the products evolved in those 22 years and they have in addition to the regular sweeper that have an XL version. Is it as practical as the original? Find out here on RIP Swiffer Sweeper
