I love to cook, that is no secret to my family and friends, and they also know that I like kitchen gadgets and shiny new things. I know I am guilty of buying things I do not really need but want. And not just for the kitchen. We remodeled our house with new tiles on the floor in the whole house and on the bathroom and shower walls, still waiting on the doors, but that is another story. That will belong in the category Company Reviews once they are done.
Now, looking at these beautiful improvements I had to get a few new things matching the new colors – I know, a very good excuse.
So, my kitchen got now a dish rack above the sink, well in my kitchen in front of the window and behind the sink, but in another kitchen, it might fit above the sink. My bathroom got new color matching towels, a nice towel rack, new shower curtains and matching window treatments, as well as color matching soap, lotion and toilet brush utensils.
Some of them are really nice and work perfectly and some, well let’s say they have some flaws. There will be reviews coming shortly.
We also got new fancy lighting, recessed in the ceiling and new very futuristic fans. The lighting is a little tricky, but right along my husband’s line of work – mostly you can adjust the light strength and color from an app on your phone. Now, I am the switch the light on and off kind of gal, but after some convincing I got those lights hooked up to a normal light switch – just in case. All these fancy lights that run on apps are as good as the electric company supplies power. We had power outage when it was so hot and after the power came on the lights were on full blast and flashing. My husband was working, I was not home, but saw them on the camera. So, he had to set them again in order for them to stop flashing. My futuristic fans have the same problem. Once we have a power outage and it comes back on the fan is on full blast – light and fan speed – but that fan does not have an app, so you are running all the fans on high until you come home – not very practical.
I will be posting reviews of these and more products shortly. And yes, they have been used for several months already, so they are not brand new or only tested for a short number of times.

The O-Cedar Spin Mop is quite a nice invention. You will never get your hands wet or dirty and the microfiber strands are nice and full, so there is a good surface that cleans your floor.
